Wildlife in Namibia
|Name:||Republic of Namibia|
Namibia Dollar (NAD)
Namibia has about 2.4 million inhabitants and is about twice the size of Germany. It is located in southwestern Africa and is surrounded by the neighbouring countries Angola, Botswana, Zambia and South Africa. To the west the country borders on the Atlantic Ocean. Namibia is a former German colony. The name of the country derives from the Namib Desert. The Namib extends over the entire coastal area. To the east, the country changes into a desert region as well: The Kalahari. Our wildlife project with our village and the research tent camp are located at the edge of this semi-desert.
